WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE?
Think about this question for a minute! What is Christ teaching us? For any of us to get healed, we must WANT to be healed!
You would be surprised to learn how many people actually LIKE their lot in life. They may say that they want to change and improve their lives but their actions tell quite a different story! Have you ever done this? Are you still doing this? Wilt thou be made whole?
Personal development is the name of the process that helps us to become the BEST version of ourselves because it helps us to achieve our life goals.
However, there is a serious problem for the believer who is looking for help with personal development:
§ Do you think that a non-believing Life Coach or coaching programme can really help a believer to build their best life?
§ Will an atheist’s definition of ‘WHOLE’ be the same as Christ’s definition of ‘WHOLE’?
I doubt it!
That’s why a Bible-based approach to life coaching is so critically important for believers. As we welcome in a brand new year, 2022, what changes would you like to make in your life this year?
BELIEVERS NEED BIBLE-BASED LIFE COACHING

What did you discover?
§ How is your work life? What are you focused on achieving? Does the advice of Matthew 6:33 guide your career?
§ How about your finances? Are you being a good steward of the resources that God has provided to you? Does the advice of Matthew 25:14-30 guide your financial decision making?
§ What about your community? Are you socially compassionate? When you are judged, will Christ place you with the ‘sheep’ or with the ‘goats’, as described in Matthew 25:31-46?
As believers, our lives should be aligned with our beliefs and values. The time that we spend in our working lives should be balanced by the time that we spend in our personal lives with family and friends. And all believers should feel confident that they are living a life of significance and purpose. Kingdom purpose!
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WAITING TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE?
In the Gospel of John, we meet a paralysed man who has been waiting for a miracle for 38 years! That’s a really long time! Surely your life is too precious to continue wasting time just waiting! You CAN do something about the healing that you want and need. Don’t be like the man in this parable! John 5:2-9 (KJV, emphasis mine) says:
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having FIVE porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
SPIRITUAL ALIGNMENT IS KEY!
There are so many Life Coaches and life coaching programmes that are available to assist you with becoming a better version of yourself. But as a believer, how are you supposed to know which person or programme is properly aligned with your spiritual values?

Confused? Don’t be! You need to realise that the advice that people give you is built on their spiritual beliefs. As a believer, you need a quick and easy way to assess whether a particular life coaching programme or a specific Life Coach will be a good fit for you.
If we want true satisfaction and true success from our personal development efforts, then there must be a good alignment between what a coach or programme is teaching us and what we already know is TRUE from the Bible!
